Return from Bahamas

We left the Bahamas and returned to the United States for the 2006 hurricane season. We sailed from the Bahama banks directly to Cape Canaveral. The lock at Canaveral and several coastal islands protect our chosen storage spot from storm surges. We put Raven on the hard in Titusville, Florida and unstepped the masts. We lost power when motoring to the haulout crane and discovered rope fouling our prop. The harbor at Titusville is the refuge for countless manatee.

We returned to our little log cabin in the Indiana Dunes for a Harvest Moon wedding. We plan to return to Raven and prepare for a continuing cruise south through the Caribbean. We will be replacing our tired old dingy with a new one thoughtfully presented by our friends as a wedding present.
